It very sad and painful to see babies left alone. Every day around the world there is a child aiding for help. Sometimes is very difficult to understand the life's of others. It hurts so much to see some of these abandoned cases. The children are often hungry, scared, confused and lonely.
In India millions of children come from Poverty-stricken families. There are lakhs of orphan children all over India. These children that have lost everything in life like Lack of mother care, Lack of father support, Lack of Love, care, and security that comes with a family. These orphans live on the streets begging or stealing to have something to sustain themselves. Invariably, these orphans are being abused, neglected, and forgotten.
In Srikakulam, Manyam Parvathipuram areas of Andhra Pradesh state, many Orphan, and Street Children are found. The problem of orphan / street children is acute due to urbanization and industrialization. Due to the Deaths of HIV/AIDS affected persons, Re-marriage of Deserted / Widowed / Divorce women, Absence of love and security in the families, Family disputes, Unwanted pregnancy of Trafficking / Sexually exploited girls; these orphan and street children are left without care and support. These children are involved in rag picking; pick pocketing and participating in anti-social, criminal activities.
HOPESSS is a non-profit organization working for orphan, destitute and other vulnerable groups and their communities towards a wholesome future filled with hope, dignity, justice and peace.
The HOPESSS is running orphanages in Srikakulam, Manyam Parvathipuram districts of Andhra Pradesh state. We have total 85 children now (Boys and Girls). All the children come from tribal, slum and backward areas, often rejected by their families and society, they are left to beg for the very necessities of life. We provide food, shelter, education, Health care and clothing to the children in the orphanage. We have accommodated these children in the rented buildings. There are orphans, semi orphans and poor and needy children in the orphanages. And Children homes for care and support for the children to make them happy, healthier and educated.
Education is the key that unlocks confidence, breaks the cycle of poverty, and empowers children to dream beyond their circumstances. The Children are admitted in school to pursue their education and are provided with school books, School Bag, uniforms, shoes, school fees and stationery. 70% of Children attend School and rest of them in College. Most of the Child has completed their academics and promoted into higher classes.
All the Children are provided with nutritious food and basic facilities in the Orphanage. The Children are being brought up with good discipline. The children are being taught and given guidance for their physical, mental and spiritual growth.

Serving the needy children is equal to serving God. With this in mind, we do our best to add richness in the lives of these poor orphan children. Every meal shared, every book opened, every blanket provided- it all adds up to a life. Let us come together and Donate generously and make a difference in children’s life. The Scripture urges that “Let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works”, we invite all to become partner of this great movement to build the lives of needy and destitute as the dignified citizens. For the orphan child, we seek your contribution of Rs.66,000 per annum. This amount covers direct living expenses of One Child. The table provides the break-up of expenditure on each item.
